Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Director will be design, implement and evaluating a new, multi-layered training module (encompassing active bystander skills, de-escalation, and operational risk mitigation) tailored specifically for high-volume nightlife environments. This role is for an industry insider with high-volume venue experience and expertise.

 

Your work will focus on three sequential priorities:

  1. Developing a new, multi-layered education program tailored specifically for high-volume nightlife environments.

  2. Implementing the program through venue recruitment and active training delivery.

  3. Evaluating the program's impact and effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Development (Primary Focus)

  • Design a multi-layered training module (active bystander skills, de-escalation, and operational risk mitigation) specifically for high-volume venues.

  • Create materials that position this training as an investment in risk reduction, asset protection, and cost savings.

  • Identify, contract, and coordinate specialized experts to help build out advanced curriculum pieces.

2. Program Implementation (Secondary Focus)

  • Recruit and onboard high-volume venues into the program using the SAFE Bar Network’s relationship-driven sales process.

  • Facilitate training sessions directly for member venues. Note: This requires working evenings, weekends, and traveling.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for participating venues, community stakeholders, content experts, and civic leaders.

3. Program Evaluation (Third Focus)

  • Measure Impact: Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and track how the program reduces venue liability and operating costs.

  • Collect Data: Gather data from outreach, sales, training and follow up and maintain clean records within the organization's CRM.

  • Iterate and Refine: Use data and venue feedback to systematically improve and scale the training model.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience working within or directly managing high-volume hospitality venues, large-scale nightlife corporate structures, or insurance/risk-management sectors specializing in hospitality.

  • Proven ability to command respect and build immediate trust with high-volume venue owners, operators, and corporate leadership.

  • Experience managing multi-partner initiatives, contracting external vendors, and executing rollouts across fluid work environments.

  • Proven ability to take a high-level vision, build the curriculum, and create the operational playbook to scale it where no blueprint exists.

 

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a performance-driven compensation model designed to reward leaders who deliver measurable results.

  • Total Starting Package: $75,000

    • Base Salary: $55,000

    • Performance Bonus Pool: $20,000+ (Earned per high-volume venue that completes the training program)

  • Work Environment: Remote position with flexible hours.

 

Success in the First 12 Months

  • Design, implement, and evaluate the multi-layered training program for high-volume alcohol-serving venues.

  • Onboard high-volume venues to the program by July, 2027

    • Good: 3–4 venues

    • Better: 4–6 venues

    • Best: 7–10 venues

  • Establish 2–5 risk-management partnerships that build market credibility and lower venue insurance costs by July 2027.

  • Launch a renewal infrastructure by Q1 2027 and achieve a 90% renewal rate in the first annual cycle.
