Who Gets to be on the Team? Everyone!

The SAFE Bar Network is built on the idea that culture change is possible. We believe that when we engage bars, other alcohol-serving venues, and their communities in conversations about noticing unsafe and uncomfortable behavior, interrupting to offer help, and proving each other support that we’ll shift workplace cultures and increase safety.

Show your commitment to a “SAFE Night Out” by joining the SAFE Bar Network.

There are four ways to join the SAFE Bar Network in our mission of preventing sexual harassment, sexual assault.

1. Donate your time, talent, or money to support our efforts to train active bystanders in alcohol-serving venues across the country. Send us an email at, info@safebarnetwork.org or visit our donation page.

2. Sign the Pledge to Give a SAFE Night Out and make a commitment to having conversations about using active bystander skills to keep people safe.

3. Encourage your favorite bar, restaurant, or nightclub to join the SAFE Bar Network. Learn more on our website, www.safebarnetwork.org, or reach and we’ll send you cards and conversation starters, info@safebarnetwork.org.

“This is my favorite bar, the atmosphere is fun, the drinks are great, and I’ve made so many memories here. I have an idea that can take this place to the next level, have you heard of the SAFE Bar Network?”

4. Do you work at a bar, restaurant, or nightclub? Schedule the SAFE Bar Network trainers to facilitate the one-hour training conversation with your staff. Learn more about training on our programs page.

At the SAFE Bar Network, we are guided by our core values and we work every day to build trust, show respect, model accountability, facilitate connect and give support because that is the foundation of culture change.
