Katie joined the SAFE Bar Network in 2023 as the Social Media Manager. Katie has been in the hospitality industry for her entire working life and feels honored to be a part of an organization that works tirelessly to keep her best friends and coworkers safe. She loves being a part of a team that gives real people real skills to improve not only their workplace culture but also their community’s culture. 

 

As a restaurant manager, getting to connect with customers and friends over good food, good drinks, and a vibrant, welcoming space brings Katie the most joy. As a social media manager, when she gets a new idea for a post and it all just clicks into place brings Katie the most joy. She enjoys it when the videos are easy to find and the caption is easy to write, and she enjoys getting to be creative and promoting a mission she cares about deeply. 

 

Katie does a little happy dance every time she hears that a new venue has found out about The SAFE Bar Network because of a video she made or a post that she wrote. She finds her happy place hanging out on the patio of her favorite bar with her coworkers after a busy Friday closing shift. Katie is a simple girl - her favorite drink for a fun night out is an ice-cold Miller Lite.
